We have gotten a taste of fall the past several days in the Carolinas, which has me lighting candles, running to Starbucks (who doesn't love a PSL?) and pulling out my sweaters and cardigans! Cozy cardis are perfect for the fall season, and this cute cardi from Magnolia Boutique is my new favorite! I am not exaggerating when I say that it feels like you are wearing an exceptionally soft blanket, so I know I will be getting a lot of use out of it not only for going out on crisp, fall days, but also for lounging around at home.
I styled my cardi with this Leopard Satin Cami (under $20) and these affordable black skinny jeans, which pair nicely with black ankle booties. What I love about this outfit combo is how easy it is to just throw on while still managing to look cute! Layering a cardi over a cami or a basic tee is the perfect way to stay warm and cozy on those chilly fall mornings, and you can easily take off the cardi and still have a cute outfit on if your fall day starts to warm up - layering is key! I also styled this look with a bag from Kate Spade. This particular style of the bag is currently sold out, but I am linking two other bags (here and here) from Kate Spade in the exact same color. Let me tell you, the color of this bag is even more gorgeous in person, and it is the perfect shade of mauve for fall!

Happy Wednesday Lovelies! Even though we are only halfway through the week, I wanted to give you some outfit inspiration for a date night look this weekend! Even if you don't have a hot date, do not sweat! This simple and chic date night look would also be perfect for a night out with the girls!
Sometimes it is difficult to know what to wear on a date night! There is always the pressure of dressing up too much, or simply not dressing up enough. I know that when I first started dating I would frantically search my closet for the perfect outfit, and nothing ever seemed just right! I am here to tell you that I have learned that a classic black dress is an easy and perfect look for a date night. This satin slip dress is sexy, yet classy, as it shows a little bit of skin, but doesn't reveal too much! The v-neck is flattering, and the midi length is very much on trend this season!
This particular dress from Two Feathers has side slits which gives the dress movement while also showing a little bit of leg! It is still warm here in Charlotte, so I wore the dress on it's own, but it would also look gorgeous with a chic trench coat, or with a simple sweater and mules for a more casual fall look. For my date night look, I paired it with these heels that are the perfect dupes for the Valentino Rockstud heels. These shoes are constantly selling out, but keep checking back because they always come back in stock! I sadly checked their website daily until my size came back in stock, but let me tell you, it was worth it!

You all know how much I love dresses, so I wanted to share with you this little white dress that I cannot get enough of! White dresses have become a new wardrobe staple alongside the little black dress, making these classic and timeless pieces a must have in every gal's closet. Both white and black dresses are classy and versatile and can easily be dressed up or down with sandals, sneakers, boots, or heels. I think this white dress is perfect for summer with it's strapless design and comfortable cotton material, but it could also be used as a fall transitional piece by pairing it with a cute cardi and some ankle booties.
Since the weather here in Charlotte is still scorching hot, I paired it with these cute lace up gingham sandals, which have been my most worn sandals this season. Gingham has definitely been my favorite trend this year, and I love that I can easily incorporate it into every outfit with these cute, and more importantly, comfortable sandals! Both the dress and the sandals are super affordable with the dress being under $20 and the sandals under $35! The weekend is finally here, so I thought now was the perfect time to share with you how I like to spend a relaxing night in, courtesy of Formula 10.0.06.
For those of you who are not familiar with the brand, Formula 10.0.06 is a skincare company that has been around since 1933, that specializes in a wide variety of products for every skin type! I personally have sensitive/combination skin, and I found that the Be Berry Fresh Moisturizing Mud Mask was my favorite.
After a long day, the first thing I like to do when I get home is change into a comfy pair of PJ's. I got these pink satin pajamas during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale and I must say, I am obsessed! Once I am cozied up in pajamas, I like to light a few candles in my bedroom or bathroom and then proceed to take off all of the makeup, oil and grime (eek!) that has built up on my face throughout the day. I used the Be Berry Ready Daily Foaming Cleanser to wash my face, and then applied the Be Berry Fresh Moisturizing Mud Mask in order to really give my face a good detox!
While I relax with the mud mask mask on my face, I often curl up in bed to either watch a feel-good movie or to read a book. On this particular day, I decided to read The Nightingale, by Kristin Hannah, and let me tell you, you will not want to put this one down!
I am afraid to say that I have a bit of a sweet tooth, so while I was lounging around I also decided to break into the cookie jar and make myself a hot cup of peppermint tea. I always find that I sleep better at night when I end the day feeling relaxed, which for me equals a bit of self pampering, a hot cup of tea and a good book.

I cannot believe that August is already here, and this particular day in August is extra special for me because I am celebrating my 25th birthday! Cue the celebratory emojis! My boyfriend, Jay, and I are actually out of town this week for a business trip and a wedding, so I will miss out on the usual celebrations with my family and friends, but Jay has already managed to make this day extra special by surprising me with a gorgeous bouquet of flowers at the hotel! Did I mention that he is the best? :) Even though August has just begun and the weather is still ridiculously hot in Charlotte, all of the stores are releasing new items for the fall season, which has me way too excited for sweaters, scarves and pumpkin spice lattes! Yes, I am one of those people. The transition away from our bright summer wardrobes can sometimes be difficult while the weather is still warm, so I am going to give you a couple of examples on how you can easily combine pieces from your summer and fall wardrobes!
With this particular look, I combined a flared sleeve pink dress with a pair of camel Sam Edelman Boots, which are currently at a discounted price for the duration of the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale (after the sale ends on August 6th these boots will almost double in price, so be sure to snag them now!). This pink dress is perfect for both summer and fall with the long, flared sleeves, which are so trendy right now, and would also look cute when styled with a chic pair of loafers.

This outfit combination is one of the easiest and most popular looks for the fall season, and for good reason - it is both cute and comfy! I am walking into the new week with these cute gingham sandals, but before I do I want to share with you guys a simple and easy way to look cute and chic in the summer heat!
If you're anything like me, once the temperature rises and the humidity is unbearable I just feel sweaty, drained, and not very cute. I find myself lacking creativity to put together a cute, summer outfit when it is so easy to throw on a tank top, shorts and sneakers. Not that there is anything wrong with this, but I sometimes like to look chic and put together even if the summer heat is practically begging me to stay inside in my pajamas - this happens to you too right? ;)
The great news is that there is hope for those of you like me! A dress and a pair of sandals is a perfect and easy option for looking cute this summer. The dress that I am wearing is perfect for a summer date night, or even a coffee date with your girlfriends. The lace design automatically makes you look put together, while the shift dress shape does not cling to your (possibly sweaty) body, allowing you a little breathing room!
I find that sandals are the best option for hot summer days, which is why I paired my pink dress with this fun pair of lace up gingham sandals. I love how these sandals steal the show with every outfit I wear, and they are extremely comfortable and so cute - definitely more chic and put together than your typical pair of flip flops!
If you are not a dress person, do not fret! You can also create a chic summer look with a skirt or shorts paired with a ruffled top, and you can switch out your flat sandals for a pair of heeled sandals. These are great options too! I am personally a dress person, so a simple dress and sandals are my easy and comfortable go-to for when I want to look cute and put together on a hot summer day.

Most sales involve stores trying to get rid of items from the previous season in order to bring in new items for the upcoming season, but the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is giving you the opportunity to buy next season's newest items at a discounted price! So if you are looking for some new clothes for fall (who isn't looking forward to cozy sweaters and pumpkin spice lattes?), now is the time to shop! The sale is currently only available to Nordstrom cardholders (apply here if interested), but the sale will be available to the public July 21st and lasts until August 6th!
Items sell out fast guys. There were some things that I coveted for my closet, but they sold out within the first 24 hours! This Nordstrom sale is a sale you definitely want to jump on right away! I was able to snag this pair of Sam Edelman Boots, which I am so in love with. A heeled boot will always be a wardrobe staple, and the camel color is so gorgeous for fall. I also picked up these adorable blush pink Riyan Waterproof sneakers that I think I will probably end up wearing every day. They are just that cute!
For those cozy days, I picked up this Caslon High/Low Tunic in the color "Heather Grey" and these Zella Live In High Waist Leggings. I have heard great things about these Leggings, so I cannot wait to finally try them out. To add to the coziness I decided to pick up a new pair of pajamas. I rarely go pajama shopping, but when I saw these gorgeous, pink Chelsea28 Daydream Pajamas I couldn't resist! I have a weakness for satin pajamas, thanks to the popular classics from Victoria's Secret, and these pajamas are less than half of the price of the Victoria's Secret ones! Yes, please!
I also picked up a pair of Rose Gold Nadri Medium Inside Out Hoop Earrings to match my Nadri Crossover Ring, which is also a part of the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale! Finally, I picked up a picnic basket, which I realize is completely random, but my boyfriend and I have been looking for one all summer to bring along on our picnic dates, and I finally found a cute one for a great price!
