Hello everyone! Today, I have a special treat to share with you from my travels over the past couple of months, and as you can see it is from the beautiful real-life fairytale town of Hallstatt, Austria! It is hard to believe that a place such as this one actually exists in real life and not only in Disney movies. My inner child was screaming and my adult self was marveling at the beauty of this place. The trees on the mountains surrounding the town and lake were filled with green and autumnal colors, and the buildings in the town truly look like they stepped out of a fairytale book. I love unique architecture, and it is even better when there are flowers draping down from every windowsill. I wish I could say that the pictures do it justice, but they simply do not! To truly experience the magnificence of Hallstatt, you have to journey there yourself. Breathing in the crisp mountain air, feeling the breeze while cruising the lake, and just wandering through the narrow alleyways and hills is worth more than the images captured. Although, I must say I quite like those too. ;) If you're not already heading to the nearest airport, I am going to share with you my little travel diary from our 24 hours spent in Hallstatt, Austria.

Jay and I only spent 24 hours in Hallstatt, and while you can easily see everything within the 24 hours, we wished we could have spent one more day just to relax, drink lattes and spend time together exploring the beauty of this place. We stayed at the Aichbergersche Haus (Airbnb), an adorable pink wooden cabin, which was so cozy and cute! There were a lot of windows and a little outdoor balcony with views of the surrounding homes and mountains.

We started out our day wandering around the narrow streets and alleyways in the Old Town, admiring the unique homes that fill the mountainside. Be sure to take a walk through the Central Square Marktplatz, which is the perfect place to get a few Instagram shots. Unfortunately, there was a bit of construction in the square while we were there, but we still got to see it and took several Instagram worthy images on every street and corner! After wandering around for a bit we grabbed a melange (basically an Austrian cappuccino) and a bite to eat along the water where we tried an Austrian soup that has strips of pancakes in it! Yep, pancakes! One of my favorite things about traveling is experiencing and trying new things - especially when it comes to food!

After eating, we wandered around the gift shops and bought your typical souvenirs (mugs and ornaments), but also brought home some natural soaps and specialty salts made in Austria. Austria is known for its salt mine, so feel free to ride the funicular up the mountain to visit, but Jay and I decided to skip the salt mine. Instead, we visited the skywalk and a restaurant, where we enjoyed a melange and cheese curd strudel (another Austrian favorite) with a view overlooking Hallstatt, the Hallstatter See and the Salzkammergut mountains.

After our descent down the mountain, we then rented a boat for a half hour to cruise along the Hallstatter See. This was without a doubt our favorite part of the trip! There was only one other boat on the lake, so we were able to really enjoy our time together and enjoy the views surrounding us. Also, for those of you who love taking scenic photos, I got all of my best shots of Hallstatt while on the lake.

After our boat ride we finished off with a candlelit dinner overlooking the lake at the Seehotel Gruner Baum, where I indulged in schnitzel (a classic Austrian dish) and Jay enjoyed a seafood dish!

Hallstatt, Austria is truly a fairytale, and I highly recommend for anyone to travel there. I hope that this travel diary gives you an idea of what you can see/do in 24 hours, but like I said before, I could definitely spend more time here just to enjoy the scenic beauty of Hallstatt!

Happy Monday lovelies! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend, and are having a great start to the new week! This weekend my boyfriend and I went to the pumpkin patch to get our pumpkins for the season, and we are hoping to finally get around to carving/painting them sometime this week. I am one of those people that prefers to paint a pumpkin over carving, unless someone does the carving work for me. My pumpkin carving skills are weak and I can only ever seem to get halfway done with a pumpkin until I hand it over to someone else. Maybe it's time to pick up my weights collecting dust in the corner - oops. Anyways, I wanted to share with you all my favorite everyday tote bag from Barrington Gifts because, to be honest, I am completely obsessed. The bag is high quality and very well made, and the inside is so roomy I can fit all of my necessities, and then some, inside! Being a blogger, I carry my laptop, agenda and camera with me everywhere, and this tote bag manages to hold all of those things with plenty of room to spare! I use this bag everyday because it is efficient and cute, but this bag would also be the perfect carryon for a flight, or for a weekend away at the cabin.

My bag is The St. Anne Tote - Fall Monogram with my favorite brown check pattern, which I find to be extremely versatile during the fall and winter seasons, but they also have a variety of patterns and colors to choose from to fit your style. You also get to choose the colors of your initials, and if you want a bag without initials that is also an option! Needless to say, I love these bags from Barrington Gifts and I am a fan of the brand!

As for the rest of my outfit, I am wearing a rust colored asymmetrical sweater with a mock-neck, which I find to be extremely flattering, and the asymmetrical hem gives the look a bit of a modern twist. I styled the look with an affordable camel coat, which I think is one item every girl needs in her wardrobe. There is something about a camel coat that is so chic and timeless and I do not see them going out of style anytime soon. To finish off my look, I wore these boots from Sam Edelman, which have without a doubt been my favorite pair of boots this season. Even though they are heeled, they are so comfortable and the camel suede is just gorgeous to say the least.

I hope you all have had a blessed Monday and continue to have an amazing week!

Happy Friday Everyone! Fall has finally arrived in Charlotte, so we can pull out our sweaters and boots and run to the nearest Starbucks (I know you do that too)! Today I am wearing this darling look from Ivy & Leo, which is perfect for fall! There is a pleasant crisp, cool feeling in the air, but it isn't too cold yet so we can rock our mini skirts without the dreaded goosebumps! This mini skirt in particular is perfect for fall with the autumnal rust color and faux suede material, and you all know I am sucker for girly touches like these ruffles. I paired the look with this chenille cowl neck sweater, which is soft and cozy and has the cutest balloon sleeves! To finish off the look I wore a pair of over-the-knee boots, which pairs perfectly with mini skirts, sweater dresses and your favorite pair of jeans! If you are loving this look as much as I am, be sure to use code 'LOVELY15' to receive 15% off any of these items!

I am a lover of all fall activities, and what better way to celebrate the Halloween season than Harry Potter? This weekend my boyfriend and I are going to the Harry Potter and The Sorcerer's Stone - In Concert symphony, and I am practically giggling with excitement. I am one of those Harry Potter obsessed people that grew up reading the series and watching the movies, and I may or may not have some Harry Potter merchandise scattered around my bedroom. ;)

Is anyone else Harry Potter obsessed? Leave me a comment down below telling me some of your favorite fall activities. I love hearing about all of the fun and festive things you all are up to!
