Happy Memorial Day everyone!

I hope you all are enjoying your holiday weekend soaking in the sun and eating some good food! I hung out with some of my best friends last night and we had a blast eating pizza and wings, and we also played video games of all things! I can't even remember the last time I played a video game, but I must admit that it was a lot of fun - haha! 

I wore this striped, navy matching set for Memorial Day and I am so in love with it! Wearing anything navy with stripes is a perfect understated way of dressing patriotic and can also be worn at any of your other summer events. The vertical stripes are so flattering, and the side slits on the pant legs add a flowy and breezy look that is perfect for summer! For all of you tall girls out there these pants are perfect for you! I have a long torso, which always makes it difficult for me to find high-waisted pants that actually cover my belly button. I also wore heels, which made the pants the perfect length (I am 5'7" if that helps).

Let's also not forget what Memorial Day is all about. Of course it is nice for us to have an extra day off of work and an excuse to go out on the lake, but let us also squeeze in some time to remember and honor those who have fought for our country.

The Perfect White Dress For Summer & A Wedding Update!

Happy Tuesday, everyone! I am so excited to announce that Jay and I have finally decided on a wedding venue, and we have our official date! I am not giving away too much yet otherwise that would ruin the surprise, but I will say that we are getting married in January in Wilmington, NC! We are planning a winter wonderland themed wedding, and we found a venue that is perfect for our vision. I also found my wedding dress a couple weeks ago, and as much as I want to show you guys, I am going to have to wait until my official wedding day blog post!

Now on to the outfit! This gorgeous white dress from Red Dress Boutique is one that you need in your life this summer! It is made from a lightweight cotton/linen material that is so light and airy, and the design of this dress is just too cute! I love the button details lining the entire front of the dress, as well as the cut out and tie front details. I think this would be the perfect dress for all of you brides to be who are having bridal showers during the spring or summer. Jay and I will be going to Charleston next weekend and I am definitely planning on bringing this one along! I paired it with these darling blue espadrille wedges and I am not lying when I say that they may be the most comfortable pair of shoes I own. The arch support for these shoes is amazing - giving these a double thumbs up!
