There are certain things that provide me with an extra boost of confidence as I prepare for the day, and one of those things is dressing in an outfit that I feel beautiful in.

Finding an outfit that flatters your unique body shape will make all the difference in how you feel in your clothes, and others will notice too as you strut around around with a little pep in your step!

This outfit is inspired by a classic look that never seems to go out of style, and for good reason - it manages to flatter every body shape!

A-line skirts cinch in at the skinniest part of the waist, while flaring out towards the bottom, which accentuates your beautiful body shape while hiding those bumps, nooks and crannies we may not wish to expose (haha)!

Classic icons, such as Audrey Hepburn, were frequently seen wearing a similar ensemble, but the sparkle on this midi-skirt gives the classic look a fun, modern twist.

I decided to let the skirt do all of the talking by pairing it with a high-neck, long sleeved top, and a pair of black slingback heels to keep the look simple and chic!

Leave a comment down below telling me what outfit ensemble gives you that extra boost of confidence!

Happy Wednesday Friends!

I can't believe that the first month of the New Year has already passed, and that February is already here!

With New Year resolutions spiraling in my head, there were so many goals I aspired to accomplish in January that, well, didn't even receive a second glance.

Thankfully, I have eleven more months to achieve these goals, and maybe February's romanticism will give me the inspiration I need (haha)!

With February comes Valentine's Day, and I don't know about you, but I always use this holiday as a reason to pull out the pink clothes and dress up!

This feminine, ruffle blouse is the newest addition to my wardrobe and I must say that I am smitten! It pairs nicely with skirts and heels, or even a pair of skinny jeans and loafers. The blush pink, polka dots and ruffles add a lovely feminine flair to any outfit, which allows you to look dressed up without even trying!

For my Valentine's outfit, I paired it with a flowing midi skirt and a pair of slingback heels, which kept the outfit comfortable, while still looking polished and chic.

I hope you all like it as much as I do, and I would love to know what you are wearing this Valentine's Day!

2016 was the year for fun fashion trends.
Chokers made a comeback, fur was added to everything, and off-the-shoulder tops and dresses were a cute way to add a bit of flirtation to an otherwise simple outfit.

Looking back on this year, I can honestly say that I loved the trends, and I hope we hold onto some of them in the New Year!

For this look I combined a pink faux fur vest with an all black outfit. The pink fur was a big statement piece for an otherwise monochrome, simple outfit, and I enjoyed adding a bit more (yes, more) fur with these fun gloves I found from Target.
I also incorporated some black, suede over-the-knee boots, which is an easy and comfortable way to flatter and elongate the legs.
The best part is that all of the pieces in this outfit are under $100, which makes it easy to follow these fashion trends without breaking the bank!

Now tell me, what were your favorite fashion trends from 2016 and what are you looking forward to most in 2017?

Have a safe and wonderful New Year filled with glitter and champagne!

Sweater // Beanie (no longer available), similar here and here //Jeans // Booties // Bag

On casual, wintry days you can always count on me wearing four things:
A sweater,
A scarf,
Boots/booties,
and a pom pom beanie.
I think it's safe to say that a girl can't go wrong with these four things during the winter season. It's easy to add a little excitement to a neutral outfit with fun pops of color, such as pink!
Adding a plaid, pink scarf with a pink bag can brighten up an otherwise plain outfit, and a pom pom hat is like icing on the cake!
This gray sweater from Nordstrom is so cozy and goes with absolutely everything in my wardrobe, and my suede taupe booties are surprisingly comfortable and perfect for long days walking around the city.
The great thing about them is that they can be dressed up with a skirt and blouse, or casually dressed down with a pair of skinny jeans and a sweater.
Now that winter is finally here in Charlotte, I will be reaching for these favorites daily!
Now tell me, what are your go-to winter staples?

Sweater Jacket // Jeggings // Black Turtleneck, similar here and here // Via Spiga Bootie

Hello, December!
As the weather drops and the Christmas lights are hung, I find myself reaching for snuggly sweaters, turtlenecks and boots - an outfit combination that is both chic and comfortable. A plaid sweater is an easy way to be festive, cute and classic during the Christmas season, and it is also an easy way to add a little something to a classic all black outfit! This sweater jacket is also currently on sale at ASOS!
What is your favorite way to bundle up this season?
