Happy Thursday, Everyone!
With all of these warm summer days still upon us, I figured now is the perfect time to give you a little travel inspo featuring our trip to the Bahamas. Our trip last month to the Bahamas was nothing less than perfect. Each day was spent with a piƱa colada in hand and a view of the most stunning turquoise water, and for that reason I am convinced that it is impossible for anyone to be anything but happy while lounging on these tropical islands. I wanted to share a few snippets of our trip to Nassau with you and provide you with travel advice on what to do (outside of lounging on the beach, of course) and where to stay while in the Bahamas.

Where To Stay:
The SLS Baha Mar is a new, trendy hotel in Nassau, Bahamas, and let me tell you, it is quite possibly the most Instagrammable place I have ever been. Everything, and I mean everything, is picturesque, luxurious and stylish, so for all of you bloggers and Instagram lovers out there this one is for you. The majority of my photos shown above are taken on the hotel property. The hotel itself is pink and is surrounded by palm trees and is filled with modern decor. There are several pools with cabanas and even an aquarium tank.
Where To Eat:
There are several fine dining options on the property. They are actually quite pricy, so I would be prepared to save up for this one. The mediterranean restaurant, Cleo, was my favorite, so be sure to try it when you go! If you are looking for a more affordable option, I would be sure to check out Cafe Madelaine for breakfast and brunch. They have several breakfast and lunch options as well as pastries, crepes and coffee. Another affordable option is to head to the food trucks and the huts down by the beach. The food trucks are just as cute as the resort, and you get to enjoy your meal with a view of the crystal clear waters. Nachos with a view - it doesn't get much better than that!
If you are wanting to go off of the property, I would highly recommend giving Dune a try. The food is superb, and the atmosphere is relaxing.
What to do:
Relax - First off, for a vacation in the tropics I highly recommend spending as much time as you can relaxing on the beach and just taking in the sound and color of the water. Our mundane and busy day to day lives with the never ending to-do list can leave even the most resilient of people exhausted and burnt out. Turn off that phone, close your laptop, and just enjoy a moment of doing nothing. Trust me, we all need it. The resort has a beautiful pier and a long stretch of beach with chairs and umbrellas, which is perfect for those of you like me who prefer to relax in the shade. There is even a station set up on the beach where you can buy a coconut to sip on some fresh coconut water, and then go back to have a bahama mama or piƱa colada made in your coconut. The water is calm along the shore, so you can relax and work on that summer tan on the large mats and floats fixed to the ocean floor!
Have a Cabana Day - One of the days we stayed at the hotel, we decided to have a cabana day! Naturally, the cabanas are adorable with black and white stripes, and credit for food and drinks is included, as well as a gorgeous (and delicious) fruit bowl for snacking. However, If you are looking for more of a vegas pool scene, the "Privilege Pool" is the place for you. DJ Diesel (aka Shaq) performed at the pool while we were there, and naturally you have to pay money and be eighteen years or order to attend. We decided that we would rather rent a cabana than join the party scene, and the pool we hung out at was literally right next to the privilege pool so we could hear all of the music just as if we were there. For those of you traveling with families, there is a family friendly pool that also has a fish tank in it, which makes it fun for the kiddos!
Casino & Shopping - For all of you gamblers out there, there is a really nice casino in hotel where you can spend your evenings (or days - I'm not judging!) having a grand time. There are also a few shops, including a Tiffany's, near the casinos if you feel the need to do a bit of shopping. Go ahead, you deserve it.
Visit The Straw Market - Don't be afraid to venture into downtown Nassau to explore and pick up some souvenirs (I would recommend the rum cake) for all of your loved ones back home. While you're there, be sure to stop by the straw market to pick out a cute summer bag while also supporting some of the locals. I picked up the most gorgeous straw tote I have ever seen (dramatic, but true), and I know I will have to go back for more if we make a trip back to the Bahamas one day.
Go On An Excurstion - Last, but not least, make an excursion to the Exuma islands. This was without a doubt my favorite day while in the Bahamas. You have the opportunity to feed iguanas and stingrays, swim with pigs, and go snorkeling all on the same day. They also provide you a lunch of freshly caught seafood, and make a conch salad (a Bahamian favorite) in front of you in the ocean. In order to get to the islands, you will take a boat with all of the other tourists, and I warn you - for those of you who get motion sick or have back problems, I would not recommend riding in the front of the boat to get there. They will warn you ahead of time, so you can stake your claim in the back of the boat, but I did not realize how rough it was actually going to be. My bum was airborne a couple of times, and I left feeling a little sore, but I must admit that it was actually quite fun - haha!

I hope you all enjoyed my travel diaries on our trip to the Bahamas last month. Nassau was kind to us, and our stay at the SLS Baha Mar was a dream. If any of you have any questions, feel free to ask me in the comments down below!
Have a lovely week!

Good morning everyone, and happy Friday! This Friday is extra special to all of you shoppers out there, because the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is finally open to the public! That's right, you no longer have to be a Nordstrom cardmember to shop this sale! For those of you who missed my last post on what the 2018 Nordstrom Anniversary sale is all about, you can check out more info on it and all of my favorite picks HERE. I have also added some more items I came across since I originally posted, so be sure to check it out. Today, I am going to do a little try-on with the items that I bought from my Nordstrom haul with multiple ways of styling them for fall. I love how versatile all of these items are, and there are definitely more ways of styling each of these items, but I figured ten mirror selfies would be enough - hehe! I also want to point out that there are mixed reviews about all of these items on the Nordstrom website, and I will definitely be giving you my honest opinions about the quality of all of these items. A lot of people seem to have complaints about sizing, so I will also tell you whether something runs larger or smaller than usual. Without further ado, let's take a look at some cute clothes!

This has to be my favorite outfit out of the bunch. Pink has always been my favorite color, so I naturally gravitated towards these pieces!
Long Open Front Cardi - This chunky pink cardi is a must in my opinion! It is definitely oversized, so be sure to size down when ordering this one. Even though I was inside, I got quite warm while wearing this, so it would be perfect for someone living in a cooler region, or it would be nice for the winter for those of us living in the Carolinas!
Ruched Ribbed Body-Con Dress - This dress is seriously so flattering! I am always a bit nervous about figure hugging dresses, especially when they are more of a t-shirt material, but the ruching across the stomach area makes it so flattering! I would say this item is true to size, or you can size up if you want a little more wiggle room. You can go ahead and wear this piece during the summer and then layer it up with cardis for fall. It would look cute with any of the cardis I bought from this haul (see below).
Rose Corduroy Baker Boy Cap - There isn't much to say about this hat other than that it is adorable! baker boy hats have been on trend the past couple of seasons, and I am happy to see them stay! The rose corduroy fabric gives the basic baker boy look a fun and feminine twist, and I can definitely see me wearing this hat nonstop this fall. Bad hair day, not a problem! ;)
Blush Booties - I love these blush booties! They are so comfortable and a perfect everyday shoe because of the low heel. I saw a review online that said these were oversized, but I got my usual 7.5 shoe size and they fit perfectly.

Same cardi, different outfit! I love this outfit for an everyday look!
Long Open Front Cardi - (see description above)
Thermal Henley Top - This thermal top does not feel like your typical thermal - it is so much softer! I wasn't expecting it to feel this cozy, so I will definitely be buying this in more colors!
High Waist Distressed Skinny Jeans - I LOVE these jeans! High waisted jeans are a must for me with my long torso, and these are so comfortable and flattering. I found these to be true to size!
Suede Booties - These suede booties are so cute and go with everything! They are the perfect brown shade and are perfect for fall!

Same look, different cardi!
Ribbed Shawl Cocoon Sweater - This is my favorite cardi out of the bunch for comfort! It is so SOFT! Definitely size down in this one though - they are made quite large!
Thermal Henley Top - (see description above)
High Waist Distressed Skinny Jeans - (see description above)

The thermal top without a cardi, but the real star of the show is my best friend's dog, Harper! :)

Leopard Print Clutch - Leopard print is the thing for fall, and this clutch is an easy way to add the print into your fall wardrobe!

I love this colorblocked sweater for fall! It looks so cute with a mini skirt or your favorite pair of jeans!
Mock Neck Colorblock Sweater - I love the colorblock look, as well as these colors for fall! This item is true to size and fits perfectly!
Black Denim Miniskirt - This black denim miniskirt has some stretch, which makes it both flattering and comfortable! It is true to size and fits like a glove!
Suede Booties - (see description above)

Same skirt, different sweater!
Wrap Sweater - I love to wear this emerald green color during the fall and winter, so when I saw this wrap sweater I knew it was a must! I would size down in this one unless you need extra room for the girls!

I hope you all enjoyed some of these looks I created for fall from the 2018 Nordstrom Anniversary sale! As you can see, it is so easy to create several outfits with just a few basics, so there is no need to buy an entire new wardrobe every season (unless you just want to :)). A lot of these items keep going out of stock, but keep your eyes open because they keep coming back in stock too! I hope you all have a lovely weekend!

It's that time of year again - the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is finally here! For those of you who are not familiar, the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale only comes around once a year, but it is definitely not your average sale. Most sales involve stores trying to get rid of items from the previous season in order to bring in new items for the upcoming season, but the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is giving you the opportunity to buy next season's newest fashion and beauty items at a discounted price! However, once the sale is over, all of these items go back up to their normal price, so you definitely want to buy all of your favorite fall goodies (sweaters and boots, anyone?) while the sale is going on. For those of you who want to receive first picks of all of the latest items before they sell out, you can receive early access by becoming a Nordstrom cardholder by clicking 'here' and begin shopping today! For those of you who do not want to apply, do not fret! You can begin shopping the sale on July 20th, but beware - items sell out fast (I missed out on some of my favorites last year), and the sale ends August 5th!
Be sure to check back here and on my Instagram Page as I style all of the items I purchased. Most of these items come in multiple colors, so be sure to click around to find your favorites! You can also check out some of my favorite picks from last year's Nordstrom Anniversary Sale here. Without further ado, let's get shopping! :)
